Introduction
So, I'm sitting back and listening to Tegan and Sara on this lovely friday night. I figure since I probably won't go out tonight, I should write on this, my brand new shiny blog. First of all, let me say that this is NOT my first webpage. ohohoh nope. I have it all(almost). Tumblr! Facebook! Myspace! Youtube! Blogspot! Xanga! lol. But those have all been personal pages on me and my life and what not.
Ahem, who? Me who? Why yours truly, Andrea Terríquez Saldaña Collado. But, you can call me Cake.
Who is Cake? A young and restless seventeen year old rebellious girl hailing from the cold of Kodiak Island, Alaska and brought up with Southern Belles in the west corner of Tennessee. Ethnicity? My mother is half Spanish and half Polish. My Father is Mexican with both Spanish and French descent. And I look Asian, go figure.
Ambitions? Fashion. Fascinated me more than all the other little girls. As a kid, I would stitch dresses for my barbies out of scratch. I would make clothes for my cat out of newspaper. I would hold "runway shoots" with a $1 disposable camera and a cast of garage sale Bratz. Yes, I wasn't brought up with money, but I made do with what I could. Learning every designer and brand name on my own, and having myself be exposed to the high class world of top dollar trends whenever I had the chance.
Currently, I am a Senior in high school. finally! With high hopes and big dreams to go to New York and finally claim the title of being a fashion student. I aspire to be the next big thing. A shared goal I know I share with millions, but why not me? I have what it takes. Talent, ambition, passion, and balls of steel. My biggest inspirations are Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, and Albert Einstein. I love Monroe's sensuality, sexuality, and mysterious edge in her hidden dark persona. Chanel's eccentricity, attitude, and ability to change the world. And of course I love Einstein's intelligence and humor.
The reason why I'm making this so long, is because I don't plan on getting so personal on this blog again. Also, this is an introduction to the writer. ya'see?
Now on the blog
I'm planning on making this a strict career and fashion blog. No intimate thoughts or expressions, just advancements and posts related to my life as a future designer. I'm working on what I plan on making my first runway collection right now. and I only have 2 designs. LOL, but I'm working with it and have even made it my concentration for my art class.
Goals: Not only to seduce the world with my art and the way I present it, but to help the future revolution and help my generation end the war on drugs. For our government is corrupt and WE the people, WE the teenagers of American have the power to stand up for what is really important. We have the power to change the country, we have the power to change life. I have many other big plans for myself and the world I want to create. I dream big. I aim high. Watch me prove people wrong. Watch me become the next thing to hit the history books, or at the very least, Wikipedia.
